Rug size guide
Rug sizes by height
Rugs are sized by the length from the centre of the chest to the tail, which follows a horse's height closely. Measure your horse in hands (hh) at the withers, then find the size:
| Height | Rug size |
|---|---|
| up to 13.2 hh | 5'6" |
| 13.3–14.2 hh | 6'0" |
| 14.3–15.2 hh | 6'3" |
| 15.3–16.2 hh | 6'6" |
| over 16.3 hh | 6'9" |
Between two sizes
Choose the larger size for a horse with a broad chest, the smaller for a fine one.
